The Twangmonkeys are singer-guitarist Buddy Olli (Oliver Blees), drummer Marcos Los Trappos (Marcus Trappe) and guitarplayer Daniel Neuys and they come bearing raw, trashy surf rock ska punk pop from Saturn (by way of Germany). Eclectic as they are playful, The Twangmonkeys have been rockin 'out as a trio for the past two years. Amanda Sheppard (Moneynine)
The trio, consisting of Buddy Olli (vocals / guitar) alias Oliver Blees and Marcos Los Trappos (drums) alias Marcus Trappe, as well as guitarist Daniel Neuys from Straelen / Geldern / Kevelaer, emerged in 2015 from the four-piece band `King Garage`. But Trio is actually not the right name for The Twangmonkeys, as there is a fourth, very important member in the band. Always there is Lady Death, the band's different bassist in a surfing accident shortly before Hawaii in 1965, who even has her own Facebook fan page. The Twangmonkeys stand for a mixture of punk surf rock and garage rock, as Marcos Los Trappos describes the very own style of the band. What catches your ear right away is that they not only play unimportant music, they live the twang that makes their music something very special.
