Parallèles start playing in 2007, initially formed by Carol Caliman on drums and vocals and Tatiana Sanson on keyboards and vocals. They both were coming from previous punk bands, such as Mercedes and Infect. They soon recruited Paula Villas on guitar and Andreia Crispim (FuzzFaces, Transistors) on bass and vocals.
Influenced by groups such as Go-Go's, Marvelletes, Delmonas and 60s garage music, Parallèles started blending their favorite musical elements with sharp vocals and a punk approach. In 2009 the band recorded 12 songs at Berlin Studio, produced by Jonas Morbach (Thee Butcher's Orchestra/The BlackNeedles) with an 8-track analog tape recorder, released in CD by the Argentinean label Rastrillo Records. In addition, they also released an EP by the Portuguese label Groovie Records.
Now, some years later, the band prepares new material, recorded in the Caffeine Studio by Luis Tissot (The Diggers/Jesus and The Groupies/The Fabulous Go-Go Boy From Alabama/Thee Dirty Rats/The Great Munzini and The Astonishing Sotos) that should be released soon.

Em 2007, com o fim das Mercedes, a baterista, Carol Caliman, e Tatiana Sanson, até então baixista, decidiram seguir tocando como Parallèles. A partir daí, Tati assumiu o teclado e elas passaram a contar com uma nova guitarrista, Paula Villas, enquanto compunham músicas próprias e faziam versões de clássicos dos anos 60 como “Do You Love Me”.
No começo de 2008, o baixo ganhou vida com Andreia Crispim (FuzzFaces/Transistors), que também chegou para alternar os vocais e encorpar os backing vocals marcantes em praticamente todas as canções. Dali em diante, nasceu a composição perfeita para mesclar influências e ritmos que trazem a vibração da garage, soul, surf music, punk dos anos 60 e afins. Além de bandas de vocais femininos como Go-Go’s, Marvelletes, Delmonas e por aí afora.
Em 2019, após um período longe dos palcos, as Parallèles voltaram a se reunir para tocar seu registro gravado de forma analógica no extinto estúdio Berlin, que teve produção de Jonas Morbach (Thee Butcher's Orchestra/The BlackNeedles), lançado em CD pelo selo argentino Rastrillo Records, e em compacto pela Groovie Records, de Portugal. A banda também prepara material novo, gravado no estúdio Caffeine por Luis Tissot (The Diggers/Jesus and The Groupies/The Fabulous Go-Go Boy From Alabama/Thee Dirty Rats/The Great Munzini and The Astonishing Sotos) e que deve ser lançado em breve.
